Multi-Volume Sets of the Annual Register

(Click on the titles or pictures for more information and prices.)

1789- 1823 Verney set of the Annual Registers has interesting associations to Edmund Burke and Florence Nightingale. Ralph Verney, the 2nd Earl Verney, arranged the start of Edmund Burke's parliamentary career by giving Burke the House of Commons "pocket borough" seat from Wendover in 1765. Florence Nightingale's sister married Harry Verney and Florence spent a lot of time at the Claydon House where these books were housed. The volumes are also a totally 1st edition set!
