1875 Winslow Homer Matted Wood Engraving The Battle of Bunker Hill - Watching The Fight From Copp's Hill, In Boston
This patriotic print celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill was Winslow Homer's last illustration for Harper's Weekly, ending an association which began 18 years earlier in 1857. The author of "Winslow Homer's Magazine Engravings," Philip C. Beam, New York, 1979, notes the event on page 36:
