"A View of the Town and Castle of St. Augustine, and the English Camp before it June 20. 1740. By Thos. Silver"

 

This is a great view of very early St. Augustine, then a Spanish possession, under siege by the English Navy. Lots of ships in view as well as the famous Castle and Town. The picture above was taken with a normal size scanner and comes closest to the actual color of the map and the one below of the entire view and description was taken with my large scanner with a bright light.
