Mr. Alderman Savory, J. P.

"A New Lord Mayor"

This is an original 1890 Vanity Fair lithograph by Sir Leslie Ward (signed as "Spy") of Joseph Savory, a goldsmith, sheriff and alderman who was about to become Lord Mayor of London, shown in a fancy suit of office of black and red with sword and medal of office.

The print comes matted to a standard 16 x 20 inches frame size and encased in a protective plastic sleeve. It also includes the biography shown below by Jehu Junior which was included with the print when it was published in 1890.
