1800 Judgment Execution Writ Against Debtor

This is a quaint old legal document signed by a Justice of the Peace and Sheriff directing the Sheriff to collect a debt of Uriah Austin after a judgment of the Justice of the Peace on behalf of Horace Baber or confine the debtor Uriah to jail ("commit unto the Keeper of the Goal"). On the reverse, shown below, the Sheriff notes his success in collecting the debt and charges 20 cents for his horseback ride to the debtor and 86 cents of "Levying & Collecting."

A neat old historic legal document would look nice on the walls of a lawyer, banker or collection agency.
